It is hard to guarantee an Art at Home this year – as always an amazing selection of art awaits for me to show and I am hoping  that we will be able to open. Many galleries are opening with an appointment diary.  Please mark your diaries and keep an eye out for emails or follow me on instagram – search for sarahsclater.

About Sarah Sclater

Sarah’s love of art began when she studied History of Art for A Level going on to study History of Art and Architecture at Reading University.

Throughout her diverse working life – starting out in marketing and then moving into sales and management she has always harboured her interest in art, visiting galleries whenever she can and beginning her own modest collection. She particularly loves the work of the New English Art Club.

During many hours spent in galleries she noticed how many people commented on how much they liked the art they were looking at but couldn’t imagine the pieces hanging in their own rooms. This gave her the idea of exhibiting art in her own home.

Having been brought up in West Dorset and returning there in her early 30’s Sarah had made many contacts and friends within the vibrant artistic community and was delighted at the support so many gave her ideas.

In October 2013 the first Art at Home exhibition was held at Thrae. Now an annual five day event, this is the backbone of her business.

She is very happy to discuss possible purchases throughout the year as well as giving advice on how to get the best out of your existing and new purchases by the hanging and display of your works.
