Jess took up art late after a successful career traveling the world with her husband. At 40 Jess found herself in Amsterdam with time on her hands and began to paint – having never done art at school she used her natural enthusiasm for new challenges and picked up her paintbrush – thank goodness she did! Some years later and Jess has completed time at the Heatherleigh School of Art and now exhibits throughout the UK.
Based between Dorset and London Jess is inspired by the huge landscapes that she sees from her North Dorset home – big skies accompany wide open vistas while the winding lanes of Dorset always give an anchor to history and form. She is fascinated by the abstract seeing in simple forms and shapes but Jess paints in many different mediums and in different styles.
